For #wcw this week we go surfing Byron Bay with surf girls Lucy Littlechild & Eve Riviere and their amazing KALOEA swimwear. Some amazing arial footage, blue water and two very attractive surf gals make this a great video.

For this yearβs Miss Reef calendar, the young, nomadic photographer Kate Bellm was unleashed into the jungles of Costa Allegre for her wanderlust interpretation of Just Passing Through. She took an edgy perspective but retained the mystery of Miss Reef. The final result was twelve months worth of youth culture-driven pop art of Miss Reef in cerulean lagoons and lush tropical woodlands of the Pacific Mexican coast, all with Miss Reef falling into Bellm’s brand of mischief and adventure.

Tia Blanco has been making waves since she was signed by Reef at 16. But she really impressed when winning the ISA World Junior Champs last year proving she has what it takes to compete with the best. She has obviously taken a note from Alana Blanchard’s book though and realised that her fiery good looks are also a valued asset and even did a Bikini shoot with Playboy Magazine recently. Maud Le Car finds herself home in France confined to a wetsuit to fight off the icy wind and cool water temps in Europe. While East Coast surfer Quincy Davis has yet again escaped Fall and winter to spend time on the sun soaked beaches of Puerto Rico. After a desperately cold session Maud books a life and books a flight and joins Quincy on a whim leaving a note for her boyfriend saying au revoir for now.
This week I start a new weekly piece where I add a twist to the current trend of posting your #WCW (Woman crush Wednesday for the old people). I am in action sports and cover extreme athletes and there happen to be many very, very good looking ladies, who are also some of the best athletes on the planet. These ladies are deserving of our attention and respect!
What better way to start with one of the best snowboarders in the world, Elena Hight. At 13-years-old, Elena became the first female to land a 900 in competition; and in 2013, she became the first snowboarder, male or female, to land a double backside alley-oop rodeo at the Winter X Games Superpipe finals in Aspen, Colorado.She has also posed in the ESPN Naked issue, twice and by the looks of things loves hamburgers and a Braai (Ok its a gas barbecue, but us South Africans can respect a lady that cooks on flames!) Pretty good choice for a #wcw if I do say so myself.
