As we head towards the next WSL stop at the high performance waves of Trestles, most of the tour will be watching this latest web drop from Julian Wilson and praying they don’t get him in their heats. This guy is smooth like butter!
While not the biggest name in the wake game, Rusty Malinoski has always been one of my favorites to watch ride. Big lines, style and huge strength (Just check the handle passes.)
Rusty Malinoski has always had a different approach to the sport of Wakeboarding than most others. Rusty’s hard core work ethic, confidence and competitive approach has taken him onto winning many National and World championships throughout his career. Growing older now, Rusty still has that competitive drive and desire to want to win at any level and all the time. Rusty hasn’t let off the gas yet. He feels he still has more to share with the sport and his competitors.
I have watched this series from the first film, Deeper, where Jeremy changed backcountry snowboarding for ever, by pushing the limits of where you could go, stay and ride. I watched the follow up, Further, and he once again pushed the boundaries of Snowboard exploration and earned the National Geographic “Adventurer of the Year” award. Now in the final installment, Jones and his crew are going deeper, further and much, much higher for the third and final installment of this incredible snowboard journey.
Pre-orders available on: DVD and Blu-ray:
Witness the journey of one of the greatest big mountain snowboarders of our time.
Ten-time Snowboarder magazine ‘Big Mountain Rider of the Year’ Jeremy Jones revolutionized backcountry snowboarding with Deeper, his 2010 ode to splitboarding and human-powered adventure. His 2012 sequel Further took him to the planet’s most remote mountain ranges and earned him a nod as a 2013 National Geographic ‘Adventurer of the Year’. His environmental advocacy work with Protect Our Winters won him recognition as one of President Barack Obama’s 2013 ‘Champions of Change’. Now, Jones and TGR’s crew are elevating their game and taking their quest to the highest standard for the third and final installment of the Deeper, Further, Higher trilogy from Teton Gravity Research.
Higher will premiere September 6, 2014 at Squaw Valley, CA followed by a world film tour.
