What a proud weekend for South African motor racing, as we got to celebrate our Heritage weekend with a new World Champion! Brad Binder conquered the Moto3™ World Championship after finishing second at the #AragonGP – he now moves with KTM into the Moto 2 championship next year and I hope he continues his meteoric rise to the top of Moto GP!
This weekend the best mx racing in SA comes to Cape Town, with the MX Nationals happening at Zone 7. All the countries top riders will be in action along with the Monster Energy girls and of course a massive party! Take super modified trucks, usually raced in Desert conditions, some of the craziest drivers on the planet and dump them in the snow and you get Red Bull Frozen Rush. There are always major moments that stand out in your memory at any event. Whether they mean much in the end or not, those moments are spectacular on their own. The 2015 edition of Red Bull Frozen Rush had more than a few instances that made fans cringe or cheer (or both), five of which you can see in the video below.
What a setup and what an event we can expect this evening in Pretoria. We got to see the guys hit practice yesterday and try out the Loftus track. The Monster Girls were turning heads and Bilko and the FMX crew gave us a taste of their demo shows. If you are in Jozi or Pretoria today, you wanna get down here! Syringa Park, considered the home of Motocross in Gauteng Province due to it’s long standing history of dirt bike racing, dating back to the late 1960’s, was given the opportunity to host the Monster Energy TRP Distributors South Africa Womza Motocross National Championship Final Round at this both demanding and spectacular venue. Now we look forward to 01 November and the Monster Energy Supercross at Loftus Versveld.
